Hillary Delivers - Democratic National Convention

"Tonight, speaking on the 88th anniversary of women’s right to vote, Hillary proudly remembered the women who made her historic campaign possible. Also thanking her current “sisterhood of the traveling pant suits” for their support throughout her campaign, Hillary stressed her commitment to the Democratic Party and our soon to be nominee, Barack Obama.

And what did Hillary have to say about McCain? Simple: “no way, no how, no McCain.”

I will say up front I was not a Hillary supporter. I was, however, very impressed with her speech. She said what needed to be said and tried to accomplish the difficult task of uniting the Democratic Party behind Obama.

Kucinich slammed the Bush administration, saying: "If there were an Olympics for misleading, mismanaging and misappropriating, this administration would take the gold ... We cannot afford another Republican administration."
Bouncing on his feet and gesturing enthusiastically with his fist, he said corporate interests had taken over the United States. But, he said, America could fight back.
"This administration can tap our phones, they can't tap our creative spirit," he said, closing his brief address with: "Up with Obama-Biden! Wake up America! Wake up America! Wake up America!"

Oh yeah!!!!!

Michelle did indeed blow the roof off the house. What a well thought out speech it was. I was wondering how she would come across, but she handled it with ease. Giving us a look at what an awesome, intelligent woman she is. It was a powerful speech. She gave us a look at who she is as a person and a peek at her relationship with her husband. It made me wonder if she wrote the speech or the speech writers. I'm guessing the speech writers. Never-the-less, she delivered it well. I not only listened to the speech, but watched her body movements and listened to her inflections. It was very well done. This is a powerful woman. Photobucket

It has come to this my friends.  By GENE DAVIS Denver Daily News Staff Writer "The city of Denver is converting a warehouse in the 3833 Steele St. into a temporary detention facility with metal cages during the Democratic National Convention. CBS4 News broke the story yesterday. Chain-linked fence areas, which are around 5 yards by 5 yards, topped with barbed wire and a sign reading "Warning! Electric stun devices used in this facility" are already in the warehouse, which is still under construction. "We have the knowledge, technology, research, resources, and experience," he urges. "Let's turn crime, illiteracy, unhealthy, unproductive poverty lifestyles around from the ground up... One child, one community at a time - we can change the world! Let's give our children our best." Father of 11 children, ages 16 to 42, and grandfather of 16 - his ideas about what's best for our children are worth their weight in gold. Rest in peace Isaac. May your words come true.
